Next Pixel Phones May Adopt Apple’s Design Style, Suggests Google

The Google Pixel 9 series will be released in 2024, and while that’s still a long time away, the leak-o-sphere has started to do its job. A new Pixel 9 Pro design has leaked online thanks to a reliable tipper, suggesting that Google is ready to ditch the curves and go flat for its next Pixel flagship.

The current Pixel 8 Pro model has curved edges, which gives it a firm and comfortable grip. But it seems that the company now wants to follow Apple’s design style, which we saw with the iPhone 15 series last year. Leaks of the Pixel 9 Pro via OnLeaks suggest that the phone will have a flat display with bezels and bezels.

Even the back of the phone could have a flat design, which is a step away from Google’s current focus. That’s not all, it is noted that the Pixel 9 Pro could get a 6.5-inch screen, which is significantly smaller than the iPhone Pro Max versions and even the predecessor of the Pixel.

The camera module shows a slight adjustment, but the bar appears to remain in place, which is probably part of Google’s general design language these days. Despite this, the camera layout looks a bit slimmer compared to the Pixel 8 Pro’s large body.

The leak also points to Google continuing with a triple camera system that could see significant hardware upgrades. We’re also curious to see how the Pixel 9 Pro stacks up against other flagships from 2024 onwards, especially with the exciting news that the new Exynos 2400 chipset will far outperform previous Exynos variants.

Google’s Tensor chips haven’t been able to match the high-end performance of their peers, but that needs to change in the long run, which could be a game-changer for Google across the board, especially in product pricing. Tipsters has a solid track record with leaks, and it’s likely that the Google Pixel 9 Pro could be eerily similar to the renders we saw at the start of the year.
